We need you! As an organization run solely on volunteers, we are always in need of new people with new ideas and talents. Even if it is small, we would love your help. Every volunteer makes a difference. There are positions such as board members that require dedication and lots of heart, but there are also smaller, behind-the-scenes tasks and activities that often need someone extra.

We meet the second Tuesday of every month from 6:30-8:00pm in the district office located by the teachers parking lot on Yulupa campus.

The Board of Directors is the voting body that works in collaboration with the superintendent, principals, faculty, staff, and parents. The teachers and administration of the Bennett Valley Union School District are wonderful partners collaborating with the parents for a fully supported team.
Board members each have an area of responsibility, such as treasurer, outreach, book fair coordinator, secretary, etc. Board members are able to vote on motions and collaborate to make decisions for the organization. Contact us if you would like to learn more.

As much as you are willing to give. It can be as small as making copies for the book fair or as big as helping serve at one of the food booths at an event. If you really want to join the action, become a member. Positions are available!
Absolutely not! We have small, one-time tasks or more involved needs. You can also simply come a meeting and observe or provide input.
BVAPT is the Bennett Valley Alliance of Parents and Teachers. It is a nonprofit organization comprised of parents who fundraise and offer events for the schools in the Bennett Valley Union School District. Our organization is an alliance between the parents, teachers, and administration of the Bennett Valley Union School District.
All BVUSD parents and teachers are automatically members. There is no cost to join.
Bennett Valley Alliance of Parents and Teachers (BVAPT) and Bennett Valley Education Foundation (BVEF) are the two parent volunteer, nonprofit organizations that support the Bennett Valley Union School District’s two schools: Yulupa Elementary and Strawberry Elementary. While BVEF focuses their efforts towards providing arts and music to the district, BVAPT focuses our efforts towards supporting the teachers and the educational curriculum. These are accomplished through providing additional funds for the library, the teachers allowances, aiding student funds for field trips, school supplies, reading incentive programs and many other programs. We provide these through fundraising and community building events.
Board Positions
All board members attend monthly meetings, check and respond to BVAPT emails, and manage the unique aspects of their board position using tools such as Google Workspace (including Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc.).
